Maccaferri® Gabion Terramesh® is a modular system made of continuous PoliMac® coated double-twist "DT" wire mesh. It is used to create rock-faced mechnically stabilised earth walls with either vertical or sloped facings. An integrated panel and diaphragms are connected to the main fascia unit to create rectangular shaped cells for stone confinement.
The geogrid reinforcement, fascia, and lid come as a single continuous panel of mesh. Once assembled on site, the fascia unit is filled with appropriate gabion stone. Structural backfill is then added on top of the soil reinforcement geogrids and compacted.
