AquaRockBag is a highly abrasive mesh net made from UV resistant virgin HDPE. Compared to other alternatives with recycled HDPE, virgin HDPE minimises microplastic release, which preserves water quality and aquatic ecosystems.
The net is filled with graded rock to create a permanent, flexible sustainable solution in freshwater and saline environments. In areas of application such as river banks, shores and bridge piers, AquaRockBag creates barriers and structures to ensure effective mitigation of erosion, stabilisation of shorelines, habitat restoration, and a robust flood defence system.

FUNCTIONS
Barrier
Prevents or reduces the movement of any fluid through the use of a geosynthetic barrier. Used to isolate one material from another. Common applications are landfills or ponds to prevent contamination of surrounding areas.
Erosion & Sediment Control
The use of a geosynthetic to prevent soil or other particle movements on the surface slope. Acts to reduce soil erosion caused by wind forces, rainfall impact and surface water runoff. The use of geosynthetics in erosion control is to maintain soil cover either as a temporary measure offering protection from soil loss whilst vegetation is established or as a permanent control measure, typically on steeper slopes or high-water velocity situations.
Protection
Geosynthetics can prevent acute damage caused by adjacent materials. Often used together with a barrier to ensure that surrounding areas will not be contaminated. Widely used on landfills, tunnel construction and dams.
