The Geoweb® cellular confinement geocell is the most advanced soil stabilisation system available. Made from robust high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the system consists of a three-dimensional structure housing a network of interconnected cells that confine and compact soil. The confinement action prevents erosion and improves the structural performance of the soil or aggregate infill, providing an alternative to reinforced concrete or armour.
Geoweb comes in collapsed, lightweight panels which can be handled easily and safely onsite. The system panels are installed using ATRA clips to anchor the cellular panes into position. ATRA clips are used to provide a full-strength connection between adjacent panels of the Geoweb system.
To complete the system a range of infill materials can be used including topsoil with various selected vegetation, aggregates from sand and gravel to larger stone and concrete of various strengths and finishes.
Geoweb is widely used for load support, erosion control, slope stability, retaining structures and high velocity channels.

FUNCTIONS
Erosion & Sediment Control
The use of a geosynthetic to prevent soil or other particle movements on the surface slope. Acts to reduce soil erosion caused by wind forces, rainfall impact and surface water runoff. The use of geosynthetics in erosion control is to maintain soil cover either as a temporary measure offering protection from soil loss whilst vegetation is established or as a permanent control measure, typically on steeper slopes or high-water velocity situations.
Retaining
Geosynthetic or geogrid acts to support soil laterally so that the structure can be retained at different levels on the two sides. Retain (holds back) any material (usually earth) and prevents it from sliding or eroding away. Gravity retaining and reinforced soil retaining walls are designed to resist the material pressure of the material that it is holding back.
Stabilisation
Improvement of the mechanical behaviour of an unbound granular material by including one or more geosynthetic layers such that deformation under applied loads is reduced by minimising movement of the unbound granular material. Stabilisation geosynthetics are predominantly applicable to the improved performance of bases and subbases of trafficked areas such as roadways, railways, airfields, and working platforms.
