Topic:
Innovative Geosynthetic Design For Tunnels
Course Overview:
The tunnel industry plays a key role in major projects throughout Australia and the demand for underground space continues to rise with rapid urban growth.
Gain an understanding of the application of geosynthetics in tunnels which are vital to project success. From drainage and waterproofing through to roof and load support – geosynthetics can provide effective and economical solutions to various infrastructure challenges.
Speaker:
Rajesh Bhavsar is working as a General Manager – Business Development and Technical for Geofabrics Australasia. He received his Civil Engineering degree from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidhyalaya Gujarat, India and has 30 years of design and construction experience, with 15+ years in sales and technical marketing of geosynthetic materials in Australia.
Rajesh joined Geofabrics in early 2007 - during this time he has been extensively involved in assisting geotechnical consultancies throughout Australia by offering preliminary evaluations on roads, rail, vertical structures, high embankments, ports, and airports using different geosynthetic products.
Rajesh is currently a professional member of ENG AUS, AGS (Australian Geomechanics Society) and ACIGS (Australian Chapter of International Geosynthetics Society).
