The use of a geosynthetic to prevent soil or other particle movements on the surface slope. Acts to reduce soil erosion caused by wind forces, rainfall impact and surface water runoff. The use of geosynthetics in erosion control is to maintain soil cover either as a temporary measure offering protection from soil loss whilst vegetation is established or as a permanent control measure, typically on steeper slopes or high-water velocity situations.
Texcel P® non-woven staple fibre geotextile is made in Australia from polypropylene fibres with inbuilt flexibility for engineers to specify mechanical and hydraulic criteria.
Supported by 25 years of research, development and testing, Texcel P provides excellent cushioning for membrane protection in landfill and tunnelling applications and is suitable for tough environmental conditions. The geotextile is highly resistant to abrasion and UV degradation and has high elongation properties, minimising installation damage and ensuring effective soil contact, interaction and stability.
WHY CHOOSE TEXCEL P GEOTEXTILE?
- High abrasion and UV resistance properties for consistent mechanical and hydraulic performance
- Made in Australia and available in custom grade and roll lengths to suit project requirements and chemical compatibility
- Supported by installation equipment and technical assistance from our Geofabrics engineers
